The World's End

Sale price$190.00

Your order comes fully framed and ready-to-hang.

The World’s End Pub sits along the Royal Mile on Edinburgh’s High Street, its dark stone exterior glowing under warm lantern light as evening settles in. The pub dates back to the late 16th century, with origins around the 1580s, making it one of the city’s oldest drinking establishments. Its name comes from the days when this spot marked the edge of Edinburgh’s city walls, beyond which lay the unknown countryside. Hanging flowers, hand-painted windows, and worn cobblestones give the entrance a lived-in, timeless feel. Tucked into the heart of the Old Town, it feels like a threshold between modern Edinburgh and the centuries that shaped it.

Customer photo review of The Evening Commute

Love this photograph! It has a sort of Hopper-like feel. And everyone who has seen it has commented on it positively—even the guy who came to hang it, who exclaimed “wow!” when we were unboxing it. The framing is very high quality, and even though it is a large frame, it is very solid and hangs sturdily. I was torn between the color and b&w version of the photograph, but I’m glad I went with the color version because it is largely b&w with only limited, muted color. An elegant piece.
