Warsaw is a city famous for its hard working people. The city was devastated in World War II, and nearly everything had to be completely rebuilt. Thanks to extensive redevelopment, special economic zones and political stability, more and more international firms and organizations are choosing Warsaw as their base in central Europe. The city has many interesting museums and art galleries, and the Palace of Culture, which was built by the Soviets between 1953-1955, and houses theatres, cinemas, exhibition halls, museums, businesses, cafès and restaurants, has become a symbol of Warsaw.
